The LHS Wind Symphony has been invited
to perform in the Music For All National Concert Band Festival in
Indianapolis, Indiana in March 2009. The Wind Symphony was selected
through an extensive audition process and will be one of 15-18 bands
from across the country to perform on the wonderful stage at Clowes
Hall on the campus of Butler University. The Festival is not a
competition (the competition was to get in the Festival) but an
opportunity to have an incredible musical experience in a
non-competitive environment. We will have evaluators who will give us
feedback on our performance as a means to grow as musicians and
performers. Our evaluators will be among the finest conductors in the
world. As more details come forth, I will pass them on to you. This is
an exciting honor for the Wind Symphony and the program. Please
congratulate the kids when you see them.
