Chaperone Duties
A Chaperone’s Duties Include:
Home Games:
Hand out Water to the Band.
Hand out the Plumes as the Band takes the Field.
Collect the Plumes as the Band returns from the Field.
Block Traffic in the Parking Lot as the Band does the March
In from the Band Hall.
Help with anything else that is needed.
Away Games:
Ride with the Students on the Bus. The Bus usually
leaves LHS at approximately 5:00 PM. For some Games,
the Students and Chaperones bring a Sack Lunch and eat it on
the Bus on the way to the Game. A Trash Bag is
provided for ALL to use.
Sometimes, help may be needed loading the Band Equipment and
Instruments onto the Trucks. Everything will have a place.
The Band Students will take it from the end of the Truck and
place it where it goes.

Chaperones stay with the Band the entire trip, doing
whatever is needed.

Come out and join the LHS Band on trips away from
school. Make sure you have filled out your
Background check with the district. Use the link below.
Make sure this is complete in plenty of time for the
district to approve before the event.

Board Policy:
"The District shall obtain criminal history record
information on persons the District intends to employ
and on persons who intend to serve as volunteers for
district campuses."
All volunteers at Lewisville ISD campuses must complete
a criminal history background check, online, at the LISD
website.

request this background check. The school district pays
for the actual background check; principals will have
access to the "real time" volunteer list.
