Instrument: Trombone |
|
Trombone went into the
closet after graduating from Texas Woman's Univ. in 1970.
Began flying lessons in 1973; hired by Northwest Airlines
in 1979. Type rated in B-727, B-757/767, B-747-200 &
B-747-400. Retiring Captain from NWA on Feb. 8, 2008 with
28 yrs, 4 mns and 23,000 plus hours. Inducted LHS Hall of
Fame. Married in 1972, widowed in 1975 (no children)and
recently remarried August 2006. Trombone came out of the
closet in 2002, now playing with Memphis River City
Concert Band, WAI Jazz Band, Interlochen Adult Band and
loving every minute! Great to be back into music. |

|
Married Van Morse ('64) in
1966 and have two children, Brian and Wendy and 4 grands !
Lived 19 years in Big Sky Country (Montana) and returned
to Texas in 1985. Currently live in Ennis, but get to
Lewisville frequently as my father still lives there.
Involved over the years in several career positions, the
last being in the health care industry. |

during football games and hanging out with a great group

Stewart-Morley, Carolyn |

Instrument: Alto Saxophone |
Graduated Summa Cum Laude
from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches when I was 40.
Founded Tanglewood Learning Center, a private pre-school
and child care center in 1971 and I'm still there as
director with 250 students, toddlers - 5th grade. Married
Max Morley, a trumpet player from UNT, and moved to Nac in
1971 where he began teaching in music department at SFA.
We have two sons, Paul and David, both married to Beth
Ann's and 5 grands. Hope to move
back to Lewisville area in a few more years after
retiring. |
Fondest Memory:
Charter member of the LHS
Band 1957. Drum Major 1961-62. Met my future
husband at Drum Major camp in Arlington summer 1961 with
the help of Gordon Collins first Band Director at
Lewisville.

Married 39 years to Ron,
mother of gorgeous redheads Amy & Marianne, grandmother of
Josh, Colby and Mackenzie - Sons-in-law Scott & Jeff.
volunteer in Prison ministry since 1981, bookkeeper, hotel
manager, high school secretary, literacy grant
administrator for state of Mississippi, 48 Arkansas
nursing homes Medicare consultant. Blessed with good
health, bad knees and a VERY YOUNG HEART! The band kept me
in high school - that and, well he's another story! God
bless you all - Farmers! |

Our trip to Corpus Christi
in spring 1964 - enjoying the performance of "AMEN" - as
directed by it's composer! And LONG trips in the cold to
Commerce and Cooper! |
